Today their are many options for a home steam bath in the last few years more people have found the pleasures of a steam bath. More companies are manufacturing steam baths than ever before the technology is evolving to make home a home steam bath easier to install operate and maintain.
Home Steam Bath Options
Three options exists for a home steam bath today new construction, remodel or retrofit and portable home steam baths. A home steam bath can be incorporated with the shower. Materials that work well for a shower will also work for a home steam bath, granite, ceramic tile, stone and even an acrylic tub enclosure will work for a home steam bath.
First: the home steam bath must be relatively air tight, we do want some fresh air but we do not want the steam to escape.
Second: the ceiling of the home steam bath should be angled or curved to allow the condensed steam to run off and not drip on the steam bather.
Third; the material in the home steam bath room must be able to withstand the high temperatures and the high moisture levels of steam.
Fourth: consideration for the placement of the steam generator, steam generators are relatively small and can be mounted under cabinets or possible in an attic.
